Cali is an AI agent that helps you build React Native apps. It takes all the utilities and functions of a React Native CLI and exposes them as tools to an LLM.

Thanks to that, an LLM can help you with your React Native app development, without the need to remember commands, spending time troubleshooting errors, and in the future, much more.

Under the hood, it uses Vercel AI SDK and various utilities from React Native Community CLI.

Hey HN! We have been involved in the React Native community for many years, and we have helped create many projects, including React Navigation and the native code linking behavior when you npm install native components.

Server-Defined Rendering is super common in the enterprise, but we don't talk about it often in the open source community because it can be a pain to implement. This is why we are launching Rise Tools: to help you use this technique in your apps.

Native navigation is definitely a great addition to the community. It's good to see a company, like Airbnb, driving its feature development by their use-cases. Having such a solution in production, used at such scale, is definitely going to secure stability of navigation - something that we were missing for quite a while.
