Can somebody brief me on what's people's incentive of posting AI slop on HN? What are they gaining here?

Yep, Stable Diffusion & ControlNet can make for great QR codes. There are even a few dedicated models for it https://qrdiffusion.com/blog/controlnet-models-for-qr-codes

I don't actually hear people call it vibe coding as much as I did back in late 2024/early 2025.

Sure there are many more people building slop with AI now, but I meant the peak of "vibe coding" being parroted around everywhere.

I feel like reality is starting to sink in a little by now as the proponents of vibe coding see that all the companies telling them that programming as a career is going to be over in just a handful of years, aren't actually cutting back on hiring. Either that or my social media has decided to hide the vibe coding discourse from me.

I don't get it?

It sounds like it just creates a recording and saves this in a video format with some visual, which is alright I guess.

Perhaps it's because I'm more of an Android person, but does ios really not have a file browser?!?!

euazOn · 2 months ago
Nope, not really for voice memos - those are locked away in the app. Unrelated, but it also has terrible built-in support for playing audio files from the file browser.

What percentage of MacOS users even know what that is. I mean I am in the percent but I know it's sub 0.001

This is same parking lot from video of drones taking off

its after the attack and drones gone. Those idiots were lucky, there is another video from a truck that malfunctioned and caught fire on side of the road. russian forces the door, enters and boom. Appeared booby trapped.

euazOn · 3 months ago
Indeed. I stand corrected.

I would assume this event was a one-time hack, it does not scale. Actually most of the “miracle weapons” from the very beginning of the conflict have faded away.

Bairktars? Gone. Sea drones? Haven't heard of them in a while. What else?

Russians in comparison are great at scaling. Rockets flying daily, vespa-drones - daily, FAB bombs got wings and flying daily. That's the consistency what wins wars, not the greatest talent.

euazOn · 3 months ago
You havent heard this absolutely crazy thing about their sea drones that happened not even a month ago? https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-says-it-shot-do...

There’s at least one other video where you can see the drones flying out one after the other, with like 10 second delay. Launching one at a time needs fewer pilots and has no risk of collisions that might set off a chain reaction. They’re clearly not in a hurry since who’s going to go near a truck full of high explosive drones anyway.
euazOn · 3 months ago
Not true, not being in a hurry hurt one of the operations. "Russians climbed onto a truck in an attempt to prevent the takeoff of FPV drones and the attack on the airbase". https://nitter.net/bayraktar_1love/status/192916791054458931...

YOLO is way faster. We used to run both, with YOLO finding candidate bounding boxes and SAM segmenting just those.

For what it's worth, YOLO has been a standard in image processing for ages at this point, with dozens of variations on the algorithm (yolov3, yolov5, yolov6, etc) and this is yet another new one. Looks great tho

SAM wouldn't run under 1000ms per frame for most reasonable image sizes

Just as a quick demo, here is an example of YOLO-World combined with EfficientSAM: https://youtu.be/X7gKBGVz4vs?t=980
