Hey, at least a fab didn't have to burn down this time. That's progress.

I've maxed out the RAM on every (consumer mobo) build I've ever done, and have always ended up appreciating it. I did a Ryzen build with 192GB back in January, so despite the questionable signal integrity of DDR5 especially on AM5 (more than one DIMM on each channel means lower speed) this time turned out to be no exception. I also stocked up on 130TB of HDD and 30TB of SSD, as it was clear we were headed towards some kind of economic disaster. (look, I'm avoiding politics!)

But the best RAM purchase I ever did was during the dot com crash glut a few decades ago. I maxed out my Athlon XP with 3x 512MB sticks for $27 each. A gig and a half of RAM. Those were the days.

What do you do with 192GB RAM?

F-Droid needs to step in and take action like they did with simple mobile tools. If there is a change in ownership, the app should not be updated anymore.

You can likely put a 5800X3D or 5700X3D in the same motherboard and get a massive performance upgrade

5700X3D is great for gaming, but for programming 5900XT will be nicer. You can run make -j32 :)

Django is massive and ton of baggage to be carrying if you are only doing REST APIs.

This sounds like standard case going with what developers know instead of evaluating tool for job.

How would you compare this with spring?

Android developer verification would end up just like this. Lots of people would be banned from developing for Android.

Once the new restrictions come into affect, all it takes is a false positive from an algorithm and you would lose the right to develop applications forever.

According to the thread this was resolved two weeks ago. Very odd to post about this now.

Im still getting the "harmful app blocked" popup. You can test it out for yourself here https://f-droid.org/packages/deckers.thibault.aves.libre/
