I wonder if the human agents agree the AI summaries are better than their summaries. I was nodding as I read and then told myself "yeah but it wouldn't be able to summarize the meetings I have", so I wonder if this only works in 3rd person.
Have you tried having it summarize the meetings you have?
Not many people are willing to pay ~$300/year for an IDE. And Intellij didn't take any VC funding.
So at some point Zed will likely need to pursue monetization more aggressively than IntelliJ does now.

This is a bit of a misrepresentation, since those two minutes don’t account for the reviewing time needed (nor prorperly, which vastly exceeds that time. Otherwise you end up in the situation of “doing it wrong” described in your first paragraph.
It’s not a misrepresentation, they’re saying the time it would take to write the code has been reduced to two minutes, not the reviewing and everything else (which still takes just as long)
git was designed as a distributed vcs for high-latency connected developers with plenty of ability to work offline.
I don't think I've really been impacted by any of the outages. Maybe I wait an extra hour to merge a feature or something, in which case I actually get to eat lunch and browse HN, doesn't feel quite as catastrophic for me, as some of you.
GitHub is everything in addition to the git hosting. Issue tracking, code review, CI, artifact hosting, wiki+docs, kanban board.

I think that is one of the most frustrating issues I currently face when using LLMs. One can send the same prompt in two separate chats and receive two drastically different responses.
It is frustrating that it’ll still give a bad response sometimes, but I consider the variation in responses a feature. If it’s going down the wrong path, it’s nice to be able to roll the dice again and get it back on track.
Who’s left to buy the stuff they make if no one has a job ?
They operate on a dopamine-driven desire to get more money/power/whatever in the short/medium term, not necessarily to optimize for future.
