Ten years ago, I was working for a US post-production company that produced a one-off game show in China. We used OpenVPN to monitor our servers, but it was being blocked. Sometimes I wonder if I'm using the same ChatGPT as everyone else. I pay for GPT4 access in ChatGPT, and it is a really terrible writer. I also pay for Copilot, and I think a can count the number of times it has been helpful with one hand. I'm trying to get on this hype train, but I'm left with an empty feeling every time I try to seriously spend some time with these new tools.

While I am aware that it is possible to use software to clone someone's voice, I am uncertain if it is currently feasible to utilize the cloned voice in real-time situations.
I am curious if these scammers are pre-recording conversations and playing them back in real-time or if they are actually able to speak using the cloned voice technology.
