I've said for years that ad blockers are the first line of defense against a lot of malware.

I used to be the first to any new Google tech. Android, google Fi, google play music, and on and on. Now, I'm working towards degoogling entirely.
The UI/UX of youtube music is lacking compared to GPM, but at least the file locker functionality that I use is still here.
Is that right? If so, that is losing the best aspect of GPM.
AFAIK Apple will never lock me out of my App Store purchases and demand to see my passport
Microsoft won't take away the Xbox games I purchased if I use a pseudonym on LinkedIn or post Hacktoberfest spam on github
Steam won't ban me if I have separate accounts for work and personal use
etc
If having a Facebook account was less onerous and didn't come with as much overhead (for example, FB has banned people for making an account and not using the social features) I think people would be less up in arms
There parallels with any of these giant single user account companies.
If I could create a fake FB account and not be banned, this wouldn't be an issue at all.
I guess I could understand if somebody didn’t have internet access and wants to use Oculus, but they wouldn’t be able to download any games either even if no account was required. The complaint seems like more of an ideological thing against Facebook, but I’m attempting to take it at face value.
This is the part that makes it anticompetitive, I would imagine.
you replied to this with a one-off anecdote to spread fud
As others have said, none of the new features they have added have been desirable.
