I do miss metas internal version of phorge/phabricator.

The task manament system was great and that it was integrated with everything. I could also just be that it was that everyone was forced to used the same system so there wasn't the bs of each department having their own system.

Denmark exports a lot of the produced food, and we are one of the most intensely farmed countries in the world, 60.4% of Denmark consists of fields, and 48% of Denmark's land area is used to grow food for animals, animals which are primarily pigs.

We also yearly import 1.8 million tons of soy from South America to feed said pigs, because we can't grow enough food for them ourselves.

It would be nice to have some nature to walk in, it's something I miss here and something there's a lot of in England, and it's great combined with their public footpath system!

Yup, and to add to this, the large majority of this meat is produced for export, and it's sold super cheap, I personally believe a good way of solving this is only giving EU support to non export farming, eg if you receive EU subsidy the good shouldn't be allowed to be exported, or those taxes would have to be repaid.

As currently we're destroying the nature, and waters due to this extremely intensive farming and as others have mentioned Denmark is producing 200-300 % of our domestic need + it requires significant import from south America where it wouldn't surprise me if this import lead to significant deforestation.

I know China is also working on increasing their domestic production[1] which is one of the primary markets that Denmark is exporting a lot to , It was 85000 tons last year[2]

Discord has succesfully claimed the word server out of it's meaning and giving people the idea it is "their server".

It's not your server, it's not even a server at all.

tbh on the backend they're called guilds:

I setup the agent a few days ago just for fun, however it seems to have stalled/not getting new jobs.

The competition (Intel) allows them to do this considering their k cpus have a tdp of what? 125w?

People are still buying Intel so might as well try and convince them that AMD is just as "fast"

doommius · 3 years ago
my 10900k uses like 200-250 watt when it´s pushed. The newer 13900k has PL1/PL2 power limits of 125W and 253W, even then it has peaks of 350 watt from what I can read.

> Playstation 5 Memory 16 GB GDDR6, 512 MB DDR4 RAM (for background tasks).

I am an AAA PC Gamer, but why are PC games requiring 16GB of System Memory minimum on top of 8 to 16GB of GPU Memory?

And the problem is, again as I have stated for nearly a decade. The Cost of memory per GB aren't dropping much.

doommius · 3 years ago
It's dropping but way slower than it used to.

The memory requirements for pc are from my understanding due to PC often multi tasking next to the game, chrome, discord, mail client, music, twitch, the list goes on.

Does anyone read books anymore? I recently went to the university Library I went to 15yrs back and I was shocked to see how few students were reading books. Most were on their laptops presumably reading from e books.
doommius · 3 years ago
Printed books - > 300-400 € per semester. Ebooks from questionable sites - > free. + more and more material is from papers instead of books so pdf were easier unless you wanted to pay 20 cent per page printed at the university printers.

Hot take - the YouTube Music suggestions algorithm is miles ahead of Spotify and Apple music if your tastes deviate a bit from mainstream music.
doommius · 3 years ago
True. I actually use it all the time. take a long i like -> start radio and just leave it for the day/week

Your loss.

Personally I think it's my most valued subscription cost. I'll drop everything else before I drop YT PREMIUM.

doommius · 3 years ago
The hours of content and supporting the creators way more. YouTube music is included. it's not as good as Spotify but it works well enough, google play music was 100x better. still a bit bummed over that they canned it.
