Anyone think this is a viable Discord replacement? I think we're all looking to quit that app in under 30 days.

I clearly don't understand Design. My expectation is that an amazing prolific designer would deliver different designs in different contexts. At Apple maybe it's this minimalist industrial design. But what I'm seeing here - and forgive me if I'm just an idiot about design, is exactly what you'd get it you asked ChatGPT "Ferrari but Johnny Ive apple design interior".

It's all the same design language and materials you'd seen on Apple product. It's almost like someone went "let's make the infotainment a giant Apple watch".

I would expect you call up a good designer and they design something special that works in the language of your product, something uniquely new, but also uniquely Ferrari. But what seems to be happening here is if you phone up Johnny Ive you'll get a slapdash re-run of 2010s iPhone design.

This looks exactly like “we had the one trick pony, Jony, design an iPad car interface”

Gaza is kept as a testing ground for domestic spying and domestic military technology intended to be used on other groups. Otherwise they'd have destroyed it by now. Stuff like Palantir is always tested in Gaza first.

I even pay through an API? That’s interesting. I was wondering how difficult it was to setup payments vs. the actual service.

Still go to prison for not showing. So until devices have multiple pins for plausible deniability we are still screwed.

What’s so hard to make 2-3 pins and each to access different logged in apps and files.

If Apple/android was serious about it would implement it, but from my research seems to be someone that it’s against it, as it’s too good.

I don’t want to remove my Banking apps when I go travel or in “dangerous” places. If you re kidnapped you will be forced to send out all your money.

Is this a common pattern to have an agent request a sandbox? I feel like I'd want the whole agent running in it's own sandbox to begin with. Firecracker does look like a decent solution for that.
cr125rider · 11 days ago
Is firecracker instead of a docker container worth the hassle?

I always thought it was a bit funny GoG GALAXY 2.0 went the web tech route for parts of the client and still managed to get itself stuck in a place where it ships an x86 only binary on macOS anyways.

They're being too greedy. Cut out the middle man and give most of the benefit to the consumer. 3% cash back or better, and you'll sizable sign up. No profit now, but now you've got control of the situation, which is huge, and gives you more opportunities for the future. You've also got leverage for your negotiations with the merchant card banks.
cr125rider · 23 days ago
Exactly. It needs to be a recurring benefit to me. Target Card is one of the few that got me.
