I really like this! I recently started making simple cocktails, and I am certainly going to use this.

Things I'd like to see: * I prefer milliliters over oz (I didn't even know what it was before I googled it, since I live in Europe), please make this an option * Some form of autocomplete, preferably with a dropdown list (but make sure it doesn't obstruct the next textbox). There's a jquery plugin that does dropdown autocomplete well. * Pressing enter should make the next textbox active (seems more intuitive than tab in this case) * It would be nice if the ingredients in the ingredient list below a cocktail were clickable. Clicking them should add them in the list of selected ingredients and update the cocktails visible.

I am very happy that my parents are married to each other, and my alive grandparents too, and that they don't have issues like this (what my father "abuse" is coca-cola, he rarely drinks, and noone smokes).

And I am very sad to see that all other families are crumbling.

I am seeking a girlfriend that wants to be a mother, and I am not finding, most of them are self-centered, and come from divorced families, the only girl that ever became my girlfriend (and is still a good friend) was the only one that I found that still had married parents.

> and come from divorced families

What does this have to do with the rest of your sentence? Are you implying that people who come from divorced families are more self-centered?

Does anyone understand what's happening in their graph[1] in 2005? I don't understand what would cause Apple to jump from 5-25% in one year, 2 years before the iPhone.

The iPod, maybe?

He's not going to be able to change who he is, so if he's not well known then he's not well known.

If you think being famous is what makes someone qualified to create a product you want to buy, then you're not going to buy his product. That's just the beginning and end of that question, and he shouldn't worry about that one bit.

He's not going to sell as many books as DHH would, but hopefully the product stands on its merits and will provide more value to its readers/watchers/interacters than what they paid for it. My guess is that to many it will.

That's not what he said. He only asked for some evidence that the writer is really good at "Designing Web Applications", and knows what he's talking about.

Update: Thanks for the repliers. You are absolutely right: this is a 3D rendering.

What I meant to say is that it is using Canvas 2D, instead of Canvas 3D, also known as WebGl. Antirez gave a wonderful explanation above[1]:

And indeed it is pretty impressive how fast the rendering happens given that the code operates at such lower level... Even selecting the color of every pixel requires non trivial work in the inner loop

In that sense, all games are rendering in 2D, because screens are 2D. They just do it in a much more complicated way.

What I'm seeing in this demo is 3D in every sense, the code is basically a very simple 3D engine, and it requires knowledge of computer graphics to understand it, so the top-level commenter here asked a valid question.

His age is totally relevant. I wish that at 15 I could have known just to code, he actually published code!

It's great that we see youth influenced and impacted by HN.

So this is the HN version of "We did it, reddit!".

On behalf of all the idiots that decided to rain on your parade, I would like to apologize. All of you should be ashamed. How dare you insult this young person whose only wish is to share his work with us?

In terms of the module, can't really comment much on your code. It looks clean and well written. I'll try and run it during my free time to get a good feel for it. Well done. Now go back and build something bigger.

PS. Shoot me an email (in profile). You might enjoy hanging out with the Nuuton team.

Who is insulting him? People are just saying that his age is not relavent to what he did, and I agree. His post should describe the project. It should be about how awesome his project is, not about how awesome he is.

Nice. I made something like this for reddit called redditrewind: http://www.redditrewind.com

That's awesome, but I don't like the UI. A slider would be nice!

Interesting one.

I would love to see a list of all the Hacker News "meta tools".

I posted my own last week: http://www.HnEasy.com sorts hn all posts and comments by upvotes from the last day... to last 5 years.
