Thank you for recommending this. Time for round three of attempting a tiling setup on my mac (after Amethyst and Yabai disappointed).

Same path I took. I'm liking Aerospace so far. I just snagged the "i3-like" config from their docs and it feels like home. Not quite as snappy as i3, but very workable.

I've always wondered why people enjoy tiling window managers. Personally I don't really grasp it. If I work with a lot of papers and documents on a desk, I don't "tile" them, I keep them sort of organically in front of me.

And whatever app I need to use should ideally be straight in front of me. But that's just me, maybe I haven't had a proper tiling experience yet and thus I haven't seen the light.

I switched to i3 years ago for the workspace management. I can spread different workspaces across my monitors with easy commands and full control. Every OS and linux distro I've tried has inferior workspace management compared to i3. Tiling is secondary for me.

If you come from i3 you'll probably find Aerospace[1] to be more what you're after.

I made a similar web app a few years ago. I think it competes quite well with this one. It has syntax highlighting :) https://tabviewer.app/

Love it. Is it open source? The only thing missing imo is a chord viewer.

You can tell it's the Y chromosome because of the way it is.

The US seems to be the only country that has this problem. Children here (Norway) walk to school on their own at the age of five or six, some of them take buses.

"Ashley Smith, a foster dad, testified about being investigated for neglect because one afternoon his daughter, 8, was doing her homework on the front lawn. A passerby reported an “unsupervised” child (not knowing Ashley was actually inside). The upshot: “We went through a period of eight weeks of not knowing if we would continue being able to keep our children,” said Ashley."

That's just astonishing!

I would say that this is an extreme and somewhat rare example. Kids here do walk themselves to school. But this does seem to be a growing concern, hence the legislation.

Chess.com has the somewhat unique property of being a chess server run by people who aren't good at chess and aren't good at technology. I think they used to hire devs off Fiverr.

However they are somewhat good at business as they've convinced thousands of people to pay $17.00 per month for something that can be found for free at Lichess.org.

They do pay a ton of money to streamers to use their site exclusively, which is good for chess since it allows more chess players to make a living.

Lichess is better in every way except one: their push notifications are unreliable.
