Perhaps using the bank's website is an option?

I don't have a banking app installed on my phone. When I need to make a bank transfer I sit down at the computer.

cenamus · 17 hours ago
Don't know if it's the same there, but where live (and I guess all of the EU) most banks allow you to use the website, but require the phone to authorize logins and transactions (as 2FA basically)

Several! You're correct that Lisps is the most famous, and there's also languages like Erlang that have this as a core functionality. But it's also used in things like game engines for C/C++. You do have your "updateAndRenderFrame()" function in a dynamic library, having it take a pointer to the full game state as an argument. When you want to reload, you recompile your dynamic library, and the main loop can swap out the implementation, and the game keeps running with the new code. I don't see a reason why you couldn't do this in Rust, though I imagine it's trickier.

Unsure if this is related, but I’ve heard that taking painkillers for delayed onset muscle soreness will reduce muscle gains.

Same goes for icebaths, they reduce inflammation, which is the whole point of working out.

I love this! I tried to apply the same idea to scan the tallest tree in New England with a drone. It didn't come out great, but I might just try again now.

Here is how it came out: https://www.daviddegner.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Tree-...

It was part of this story: https://www.daviddegner.com/photography/discovering-old-grow...

Fascinating perspective still!

No, it's definitely wider in the photo. The rear tire is about double the width of my mouse pointer while the front tire is about 1x the width.

That said, as other commentators have mentioned, it might also be wider in real life, so not necessarily an artifact at all.

And the height?

Even the lower-case x like that?
cenamus · 6 days ago
Probably not, at least in my case it is just some lower left to top right line, then the crossing line starting from the top left

That 100x zoom looks a bit... sloppy...

The car has one wing mirror and the rear tire is wider than the front. Edit: this might be real, see child comments.

Is there someone who knows more about cars who can confirm that this is in fact, not real?

cenamus · 7 days ago
I think the rear looking bigger is an artifact of the zoom, where your brain expects it to look smaller, but it's actually the same size due to the extreme cropping

You cant avoid co2 build-up, you can only slow it down, main factor here is relaxation. Particularly your brain needs loads of o2, so if you can keep that calm it helps a lot. Obviously a slow metabolism helps as well, so before big static performances fasting is common.

And regarding co2 tolerance, it is a training effect. With training you can withstand much higher levels of co2 without resulting in panic

cenamus · 9 days ago
And co2 build up isn't even that dangerous, just really uncomfortable. Lack of co2 (from hyperventilating) actually inhibits oxygen uptake and causes dizzyness (up to passing out) that way

I love the concept, I went as far as patching the android app for instagram back in the day to stop me from scrolling (crashing was good enough). Haven't kept up to date unfortunately.

God do I hate teams and systems with cute names. It's all cute and fun until you're the one from another team who needs to integrate with you and decode what Pikachu and Tyrion are responsible for, and discover that Fassbender is just a nickname for a Postgresdb maintained by the "It's over 9000" team. AuthService, CacheService, Db and EntrypointTeam are perfectly fine names. I don't care that namespaces are still aligned with 4 names ago, as long as I can somewhat infer what things do based on their names

How much I hate cute sprint names. How is "sweet summer breeze" better than 2023-03? At least I know if it's current or five years old
