The requirement in the contract is nowhere near that specific. Contact info validation is sufficient for almost all registrars. It's possible a given registry has higher standards, or maybe one registrar got some order to be more thorough, but great reason to avoid given this is a commodity and there are actually good alternatives. (I broadly like Tucows and Cloudflare)

Namecheap is on my NO NO NO list, along with GoDaddy (and a bunch of others). Google Domains was also on this OH GOD NO list, but thankfully Google did the Google thing and killed the product.

What's the problem with Namecheap (I have my domains there right now)?

Sometimes, with variable results. I think I've only observed it guess patterns from the current directory

> Does copilot work for shell scripts?

Yes, it gave me this earlier today while editing my .zshrc:

  # kill a process on a given port
  killport() {
    lsof -i :$1 | awk 'NR!=1 {print $2}' | xargs kill
  }

Can't wait for someone to integrate this into a shell. Does anyone know if such a project exists?

I vaguely remember an old post from here showing someone hacking up Bluetooth to give SBC codec better quality, and it only being available on Linux (or maybe it was Linux+Android?)

I’ll try to dig it up and edit it in here, as I think it was a great hack

Do you mean mSBC?

And thereby accomplishing what, exactly? There is still merit, albeit not from a material wealth standpoint, for doing the right thing for the right reasons.

Forcing Apple to do the right thing the next time.

Please stop assuming everyone shares your values and beliefs. Personally, I think that while there is some mismanagement at Facebook (that can be fixed) most of the issues brought up can probably be expected from anyone in this problem space at this scale. Facebook has allowed me to discover a lot of opportunities and connect with some long lost friends, so I would say the cost is worth it.
