AI slop is very exhausting to understand. If it's well written maybe not. If its obviously AI then that should be flagged.

ai writing should be rewritten or polished at least as a form of respect for others.

Honestly homeschooling does sound 1000000x better due to social media in schools being cancer for young children.

Good writing has the benefit of helping others for many decades and centuries. That's a realization I came to recently. My goal now is to write a variety of essays, articles, and books on topics that I excel in.

I don't feel much inspired by the metaphor of garbage collection and AI.

Garbage collection makes thinking about memory irrelevant 99% of the time. Time saved with AI is spent figuring out what the AI did.

The garbage collector rarely makes itself a problem. AI almost always makes itself a problem.

Developers can go years without thinking about memory if they aren't in a complex environment. AI can't go a day without screwing up.

Garbage collection is very predictable. AI isn't.

This predictability problem is something no one seems to realize. You can't replace an individual that can master things to a relatively high level of accuracy. Everyone is obsessing over speed but driving fast gets you killed.

After reading Cal Newports book on digital minimalism I've removed Instagram entirely cold turkey. It's been three years now and I occasionally use the desktop version to message some friends.

The great thing about it is that I've saved myself many hours. I use that time for reading and walking and a variety of other activities. Also my attention span and mental health improved drastically.

Will this pop the AI bubble?

Spending many hours not touching grass to build an app that makes you touch grass. I like it.
