Is that surprising or bad ?

Sure war is bad and killing people is bad, but can we stop acting like it's a choice ? Unfortunately, wars will happen as long as humans exist and it's much better to be on the winning side. So yeah, there are a lot of people building dashboards for killing people and it's not necessarily bad. I would even argue that it's much better than a lot of people whose work is to make kids and adults addicted to screens.

That would be okay if it weren't used by the US that has killed tens of millions on innocent civilians in their invasion of other countries.

Is there a way to route Claude Code through a GitHub Copilot subscription?
adhamsalama · 13 days ago
You can use GitHub Copilot as an API (free unlimited gpt-4.1) with the generated token used in the JetBrains extension, but it's really stupid so I canceled the subscription and subscribed to Claude.

When I saw this, the question which immediately came to mind was:

Who would turn loose arbitrary commands (content)
generated by an LLM onto their filesystem?
Then I saw the installation instructions, which are:

  curl https://cursor.com/install -fsS | bash
And it made sense.

Only those comfortable with installing software by downloading shell commands from an arbitrary remote web site and immediately executing them would use it.

So what then is the risk of running arbitrary file system modifications generated from a program installed via arbitrary shell commands? None more than what was accepted in order to install it.

Both are opaque, unreviewed, and susceptible to various well known attacks (such as a supply chain attack[0]).

I couldn't even install Cursor on Ubuntu . The issue still exists. Why didn't they ask the AI to fix it?

Lots of problems would have been avoided if Europeans didn't invade and colonize Palestine, and kill Palestinians and steal their land (which still happens as I'm writing this comment).

Fair, although I I think it's pretty clear that no one would want that, just as you claim no one would agree to the UN partition.

And I think colonization is really the wrong term here, it's just two native populations fighting over a piece of land - not exactly a new historical concept.

TIL Americans and Europeans are native to Palestine.

Defending? You mean colonizing. And Israel literally did terrorist attacks on Jews in Arab countries to make them flee to the newly occupied land.

It's literally an illegal settler. No excuses for that.
