While this is very welcome, I am baffled that there is STILL no plan mode support. Neither Copilot Coding Agent nor Claude Code Web can do this. Why? We have the technology. The model output is far, far better when you develop a robust plan first. And both GitHub and Anthropic know this... so I don't know why they aren't prioritising it.

This is very close to something that happened to a friend of mine. They were trying to follow a MoltBot installation guide, but clicked on a different link that looked legitimate. That page instructed them to paste a command into Terminal. After running it, macOS immediately started asking for multiple permissions, which in hindsight was the big warning sign. But for someone who is non technical might have ran with it.

From what understand of MoltBot, I would expect it to ask for a lot of permissions. I guess maybe they are prompted closer to configuration time in the actual app.

The first order effect of this would be great, but the following onslaught of schlinkert spam would be devastating- its bad enough now with people making garbage dependencies and sneaking them in everywhere just for clout

It might make the maintainers of if the rest of the pie vigilant for dependency spam that would cut into their end.

I asked last year and was told 404 is the source of too many copycat low quality posts and they have a paywall. In the year since, a bunch of their original reporting has hit the front page and driven interesting discussions.
abraham · 2 months ago
Just to clarify for anyone reading. 404 does not have a paywall. They have an account wall. Some articles require you to be signed into a free account to read.

Why is quick share buried in the settings menu, instead of being an app?

Especially when receiving a file, it makes no sense to start by going into settings.

abraham · 3 months ago
Generally, you don't have to open settings. The the built-in share menu from a file has quick share as an option and if someone shares something with you, you'd get a notification.
