Are you planning to add blank keycaps or colemak/dvorak keycaps?

Is there a cowboy mode, where I can skip this step and 'just run it'? (excuse me if this is mentioned in the docs)

So, this is a very long, slow-moving, open train.

Advantages I see:

- you can hop on and off wherever you want. That makes them useful for short trips

- no waiting time; you can hop on whenever you want. That likely makes up for lack of speed on short trips.

- if built at ground level, pedestrians can cross the line fairly easily wherever they want (hop on, hop off on the other side), so these wouldn’t split cities in half the way railways do, but only for pedestrians.

Disadvantages I see:

- slow for longer journeys

- power inefficient if there are few passengers (trains are, too, but this is a really, really long train. Imagine moving these 3km of track to move 10 persons). You can’t scale down capacity for less busy hours.

- all maintenance requires shutting down the system (in contrast, with trains, you take off the train and put another one on for most maintenance)

- ¿safety?

You can scale down for less busy hours by just turning it off.

Oh, the Internet? You had no trouble sending me the 404 page, so why not just send me the page with Bard on it?

Name_Chawps commented on A brain injury removed my ability to perceive time   salon.com/2023/11/05/a-br... · Posted by u/mgerdts

Brain issues are always so fascinating. The subjective experience is to diagnose a faulty sensor using the sensor. The brain that both I and the author agree seems to be acting up also wrote this article.

Did it mess with your ability to perceive time, or alter your recollection of how you once perceived time, or alter your ability to assess your perception of time, or activate a hidden "too aware of second-order time phenomena" organ

Name_Chawps · 2 years ago
It seems like the altered time perception caused behaviors in the moment like interrupting others that can be verified by others, so probably this is not an issue with recall/ability to assess perception of time.

On the other hand, if most people aren’t doing it, you could also say it’s both an error and a dialect.

I've been told to use both "autistic person" and "person with autism", and that the alternate phrase is bad. For any individual I'll use whichever they prefer, but there is no consensus of this whatsoever.
Name_Chawps · 2 years ago
The "with autism" stuff seems to be pushed by relatives of autistic people. I doubt most autistic people would care.

How is “help others in need” confusingly explicit?

Maybe it’s my neurodivergence talking but that seems pretty straightforward advice.

Name_Chawps · 2 years ago
Sometimes those in need don't want your help.

Sometimes you aren't skilled or knowledgeable enough to help, and you'll just do more harm than good if you try.

Sometimes by helping, you'll cause more harm to yourself than you'll prevent in the other person.

Etc.
