In USA? Correct (unfortunately)
JoeDohn · 17 days ago
I guess US, but not only. I am eluding to the whole AI thing, instead of using it as a platform to improve human condition and not only profit financially, we do have 'Step mom' and 'Russian girl' bots built on top of 'pirated' content.

We are fucked.

So 'pirating' stuff for personal use is bad, but if it's for corp use and benefits than it's good.

Honest question: for what? The data you export from LinkedIn is yours. From their "Download my data" section:

> Download my data > Your LinkedIn data belongs to you, and you can download an archive any time or view the rich media you have uploaded.

What you choose to upload to JobsByReferral.com is entirely up to you - you don't need to upload the entire ZIP. You can upload the Connections.csv-formatted file after you review it. You could also obfuscate person names if you'd like, before uploading.

We also do nothing with your data. You can verify the app does not send your data to any backend endpoints _except_ for company name (so that we can find jobs at that company).

I am not calling for it nor wishing for it, but they will argue the 'data usage bypass' that leads to a loss for them (instead 'clicking'/'viewing' jobs on sh*t linkedin website, users are using JobsByReferral).

But I guess they won't come to you right away, if you get some traction than you bet they will (even if from legal point of view it's not a clear path for a win)

After three decades in academia, I've seen firsthand how systemic issues plague research integrity - from selective data presentation to outright fabrication. While these problems absolutely need addressing, this current approach misses the mark entirely. We require measured, structural reforms rather than reactionary measures that risk throwing out legitimate science with the bad.

the problem that you speak of exist literally everywhere (from public (lowest) to private sector (highest)).

Making fixation on research, academia and science is typical retard behavior. As functioning society (human in general) WE should have ZERO tolerance toward this behavior and RFK Jr kinds should be ignored, he doesn't deserve to be heard, he have ZERO qualification whatsoever (same goes to 90% of this administration).

Grammarly has an existential crisis. It can be replaced it with free versions of the top models and they are much better (and I can control the UI anyway I want). In fact, many of these “web 2.0” business models are a few more updates away from getting replaced.
