Did it? I took a ride on the Shanghai airport maglev around a month ago, and it never went above 300 km/h, which was a real bummer, to be honest.
Cyuonut · 14 days ago
Yes it did, at least earlier. I rode it in 2010.

Most of them jump out as immediately dodgy -- except Stylsh. That is the only one I've ever used on the list but it's been several years.

Stylish was sold in 2016, and has had spyware from at least 2018 on.

The other “uu” words in Finnish feel ancient too. When Finnish children are asked to come up with rhymes, these are often the ones they suggest:

luu = bone

kuu = Moon

suu = mouth

muu = other

You can practically imagine the apes in the first act of the movie “2001” coming up with these words to describe their environment.

(The monolith could be a “muu muu”, the Other Other, to distinguish it from the basic “muu” of the other tribe.)

Belonging here: puu = tree

is there an easy way to disable the multiplayer cursors on that page?

My ADHD brain prevents me from understanding anything I read when the cursors and flags dance around the FOV.

Just adding this here: I created a multi-window management addon Winger[0] which lets you treat windows as 'tab groups', and it has a stashing feature (windows <-> bookmark folders / tabs <-> bookmarks) similar to Tab Stash. Despite the ostensible scope overlap, I know there's at least one person (not me) who uses both, setting Winger's stash home folder to be the same as Tab Stash's to achieve a manner of integration.

I want to love navidrome, but last time I tried it, I had a lot of trouble with non latin characters. Anyone know if there's better compatability now?
Cyuonut · 2 years ago
Give me an example and I will test it for you. Navidrome in docker, Symfonium player on Android.

How was it a pain? Ffupdater has had it available for a very long time, and there's Unobtainium that lets you update from git repo releases among other things.

Did you mean Obtainium?

It took me around 25 years to figure out that the piece of clothing we call in french a "pullover" (yes, say that with a strong french accent) is actually an English word describing how you physically put on the piece of clothing.

It's hard to describe how much this felt like a french word for all this time. To be honest, I even thought it was local jargon... We typically call it a "pull". Everyone does it, it's the word.

Cyuonut · 3 years ago
We take many words for granted. For example, it took decades for me to realize the Finnish word "maailma" (the world) consists of words "maa" (earth) and "ilma" (air).
