Kurtz response is ridiculous blaming the customer on X. He will probably find another company to hire him as CEO tho. Just an upside down world in the C-suite world.

This borked our dispatch/911 call center then as well. However, it wasn't as bad as this one. This outage put our entire public safety system into the stone age and with that we were at stone age efficiency.
I work IT at a regional 911 center. We're fine but I sympathize with those who are back to pen and paper dispatching. Hard for most current dispatchers to realize the way we did it back in the day.
Threads is down too. Given its integration with Instagram that's not exactly surprising though.

If the main social media used by liberals goes down, while the one used by Trump (forgot what it's called) stays up, surely that is an advantage for him?
There are probably more MAGA's on Facebook platforms than TFG's Truth Social. Either way it's going to start a few conspiracy theories.

The mastodon.technology had some interesting folks. I've migrated my account to the mastodon.social instance. Moving accounts on Mastodon is pretty easy so that's a positive.
This makes me feel old. We had no "files" when I was a kid except the kind that were on paper.
