Elon’s recent Tweet switching from Delaware to Texas probably raises some questions

Cloudflare does this for free

- an universal messenger tool which integrates with all the messengers (whatsapp, telegram, signal, e-mail) - an open source ChatGPT voice interface which I can use easily for ongoing interactions. I want to do like "OK Google" and start asking questions and interacting. Additionally it could record all my daily conversations to get context on what I am doing. If it could create calendar events and todos and remind me on that - it would be perfect

There’s only been incremental improvements to products launched by Steve Jobs under Tim Cook. The only vastly new product category that I can recall they’ve launched under Tim is the Apple Vision Pro. If that becomes a runway success like the iPhone then we can credit it as something launched during Tim’s reign but otherwise he seems to be a good operator not an innovator. The value created is Tim riding on Steve’s success.

You don't need such things.

You can simply register a domain on domains.google, and they give you email aliases with each domain. The trick is that while you are limited to 5 aliases, you can define the * alias and it will redirect any mail recieved at that domain. The mail then ends up in your mailbox, but you can easily block adresses that do too much while not breaking the workflow of recieving emails you want.

Or even simpler register the domain on cloudflare and setup a catch all email address. Free to use the email forwarding service.
6sp commented on Google keeps failing its Nest customers   9to5google.com/2023/05/07... · Posted by u/hnburnsy

I did. Outright killing the Nest Secure without warning nor compensation was my final straw. Say what you will about Apple, at least they support their products for a reasonable amount of time. I have since removed all Google apps from my phone. I purchased a Starling Home Hub[1] (works great btw) which controls my Nest thermostats, which will not be replaced with a Nest product when Google inevitably kills them too early.

Nest was such a great product and brand, and Google completely fucked it up.

Reasonable amount of time is an understatement I purchased an Apple Airport router probably over ten years ago for my parents and it still works flawlessly to this day and receives security updates despite it being discontinued for five years now. The older version has been discontinued longer and it too still receives iirc.
