Go to enough weddings, funerals and other formal events and buying suits might not be voluntary.

I still remember the suits when they had those really tiny lapels and they didn't last. Those people would be out their suit dineros.

I think you confused my statement of caring what other people think about my suit, to wearing a suit. I wear suits. I just don't care what the fashion around them is.

Truly blows my mind anyone who doesn't embrace suiting up once in awhile.

Must be a frustrating, passive, kinda sad way to live life.

I suit up when I go to buy a $5 lotto ticket.

Think you have to be a special kind of person to think the suits from a few years ago “look stupid” now. But I guess that’s also the kind of person buying the £500 tshirts linked in the article.

> Once you distinguish all events you’re fine with and want to migrate your relational data, don’t try to cheat; don’t put your events as small and granular. Relational data is flattened; if you try to retrofit what happened from the final state, you will likely fail or not be precise at best.

.. what?

If I kill you and take your land/stuff/body, did you give it or did I take it?

This is the only part of AI that actually terrifies me.

I’ve run into people on this very site who use LLMs as a doctor, asking it medical questions and following its advice.

The same LLMs that hallucinate court cases when asked about law.

The same LLMs that can’t perform basic arithmetic in a reliable fashion.

The same LLMs that can’t process internally consistent logic.

People are following the medical “advice” that comes out of these things. It will lead to deaths, no questions asked.

I apologize if this seems blunt and incurious, but I think I can speak for MANY people when I say: absolutely not.

Why? I have no problem with this.

Haha this is like a really poor attempt at PowerTalk and sociopathy from a wannabe executive.

> Says anyone who has spent more than a decade in the workforce.

Well, no. I have worked almost double that, and I don't feel that way.

I tend to think there is mainly an echo chamber of somewhat entitled young north americans incorrectly correlating high compensation in a decade long hyped industry (tech) with social status.

> a crafted reality controlled by sociopaths

Well if that is your definition of reality, maybe you should consider whether you could be part of your issue with office spaces...

> shitty management trying to take it away

Definitely, that kind of remark reinforces my opinion that you should reflect on whether your look at the situation is biased.
