A US person (for tax purposes) should not be dealing with a brokerage company operating outside of the US. The US government has decided that the only reason someone would do that is to evade taxes (although money laundering is a nice cover story) and punishes such behaviour with accordingly with additional paperwork and bureaucratic headaches.
A brokerage company operating outside of the US should still be sending you relevant local tax forms. If they are operating in a tax haven, well, maybe don't do business with companies operating in tax havens if you want your US taxes to be easy.

As an iPhone user I’d like to think iOS does not allow this. However, I understand there’s a private API that allows larger companies access to functions that are not available to regular developers. It allows them access to the microphone without the red bar showing even when there’s not a call. Like others have, I’ve received ads for products spoken about near my phone but never typed into a device I own or on my router.
If you are talking about the NSA, yes they do have a special channel with Apple... not sure who else does...

The GDPR law in europe requires them to do this for european citizens.

Please don't use the number of lines as a metric for simplicity, it really doesn't mean anything
For two programs that do the same thing coded in the same language, I would pick the one with the least amount of lines but that doesn't mean that less work went into it... Probably the opposite
