fps?

That's what I assume based on how they describe the benchmark. But personally I would be more interested in input latency.

Does intellisense like autocomplete now work out of the box? Is company bundled in, as of recent versions? Is there any dependency on Clang to get it working for C/C++ code?
yissp · 3 years ago
You still need to set up an LSP server, so not exactly out-of-the-box. Something like clangd or ccls for C/C++.

Anyone know if there's a curated list of non-exploitative games on android? The only one I've been seriously thinking about buying is Slay the Spire.

Nintendo is not a direct competitor. And even if they were, what exactly does Valve have to lose here?
yissp · 3 years ago
Portal was released on the Switch, so presumably they do have some sort of relationship.

this really punches a hole in the idea that "if you're not the customer, you're the product"

Newspapers, magazines, cable TV, product placement in films, ... even if you're paying you can definitely still be the product.

MS was afraid of the web. Apple ... not sure what they did during early days (or even now) to popularize the web. Google started in 1997
yissp · 3 years ago
Not Apple per se, but NeXT was pretty important in the development of the early web as I understand it. The first web browser / editor (WorldWideWeb) ran on their platform.

Personally, my threshold for when they're off the shit-list is when they release the userspace component open source, when they support GBM, and when they stop actively sabotaging Nouveau. Maybe they'll get there, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.

That doesn't mean what they've done so far is insignificant. Being able to run an untainted kernel will be nice (for those running new enough GPUs anyways).

They did add GBM support, for what it's worth https://www.phoronix.com/news/NVIDIA-495.29.05-Linux
