Seems like fixes after shift from destructive ideology. It never should appear in the first place.

It's totally performative. There's no way to stay ahead of the new language that people create.

At what point do the new words become the actual words? Are there many instances of people using unalive IRL?

Lucky developers who wrote these rules live in totality different world at far distance from people

If people think "scientists can never be wrong," we have fundamentally and deeply failed to explain how science actually works. And sadly, that does seem to be the case.

Especially understanding that they are not responsible for any bold assumptions or doomsday predictions.

Academic science is more religion than actual religion.

Yeah, but Microsoft also did a two steps forward and three steps back there. Things like shoving product ads onto the lock screen and preinstalling Candy Crush Soda Saga cost them more goodwill than any developer-facing effort earned them.

This one especially hurt only people who are inside Windows ecosystem. For people like me Microsoft is nice author of one product. I'm talking about VS Code.

This seems like a good place for me to complain about the fact that the automatically generated subtitle files Youtube creates are horribly malformed. Every sentence is repeated twice. In many subtitle files, the subtitle timestamp ranges overlap one another while also repeating every sentence twice in two different ranges. It's absolutely bizarre and has been like this for years or possibly forever. Here's an example - I apologize that it's not in English. I don't know if this issue affects English. https://pastebin.com/raw/LTBps80F

Seems like Thai. Thai translation and recognition is like 10 years ago comparing to other languages I'm dealing with in my everyday life. Good news tho is the same level was for Russian years ago, and now it is near perfect.

If this is for Google Workspace, AFAIK you had to open a ticket that seemingly made you justify not wanting it enabled for your organization.

Google Workspace Gemini integration is a joke. We forced to switch to Gemini-included tier plan without ability to opt-out to find that is not available for part of our team. Because of regional restrictions.

For two months I was trying to find another solution, because some of our friends pay much less for Workspace. And fortunately I found how to go through dark patterns in the interface to downgrade from this cancer.

Found out that the difference is only some space and Gemini. So we paid hundreds of dollars for service that is not possible to legally use for all of our team (we are globally distributed).

Needless to say that statistics show that less than 10% of our team tried Gemini.

Unfortunately is not available in my region.

I never released anything in App Store. Can somebody explain why do people not just check all countries and publish everywhere? Is there any reason to not to release worldwide?

Simple + open source + no access to network + no updates (idk about Android/iOS cross-app data sharing).

Still data can be uploaded to the cloud and will be available to cloud providers.

So there is more vectors to protect user data.
