40-60% of nutritional studies cannot be replicated.

You can't reliably draw any conclusions from them. You have to use common sense and rules of thumb.

40-60% - that's a pretty large p-value and reasonable proxy for thumbs and sense.

Indeed, you need scientists to simply pronounce the ingredients that are processed into, and into, food.

I think Trump has the best chance of ending the war, but I don't think America and the CIA gets to dodge responsibility for helping to start it.

Huh? That's some advanced reasoning there!

Because a lot of people are still in denial, not believing this is a plausible scenario, just like they were in denial that a large war might break out in eastern Europe "because we don't really do wars anymore".

Worst part is, apparently, lots of politicians at the wheel also believe "it won't come to this".

Reality is going to hit like a truck.

This. But reality will hit rather like a missile.

>each blog post helps me think more deeply

The most on point quote I know about this idea: "I don't write to say what I think, but to know what I think." (E. Berl)

Writing can help to become less confused, but being confused can incite to write a lot (J. Joubert: "The supremely false mind is the one that never senses when it goes astray.").

Yes, avoid pronouns. Right to remove them.

it's an interesting topic, but it's dumb to talk about how important this is, but at the same time conflate "stereo" with "binaural". It's not clear what is being measured here in terms of the result being "good"

(stereo is for creating a realistic sound field for a number of people in your living room; binaural is for creating a realistic sound field for 1 person with headphones. there are issues and compromises either way, for example one of the problems with binaural is that when you turn your head, the virtual "stage full of musicians" swings around along with your perspective)

there was no technical detail provided here

and why is there a ?ref=seekhifi.com on the wikipedia URL? is this some new SEO idea?

Downvote. Dislike sound or music? Please just ignore the topic.

I've seen this discourse all over the internet and IRL. People are simply not honest with themselves. Take for example that the US government essentially cuts a check every year to the tune of billions to soda companies via EBT/food stamp programs. Whenever this comes up, "let poor people enjoy things" is the general consensus. They have such poor quality of life that a little soda here and there is an enjoyment that we cannot take away. Imagine if we allowed people to buy cigs or booze on government assistance. I use to have libertarian views on fast food and junk food but at this point, we should ban it all, esp if we are providing reduced/free healthcare to a population where we fund food/grocery purchases.

Flip side of this is the very high cost of true organic and pesticide-minimal/free foods. And yeah, not being honest is somewhat commonplace, regrettably. I for one don't always like wiping off the mirror for a better look.

I loved the comment about Airbus

> “Asana, but for building planes”.

Would you use Asana for even building a project plan?

Smartsheet.
