Secret to writing: 200 crappy words per day.

It was the year 1999, remember that? I was working at a startup and we were preparing to IPO. I got a cold call from a - I kid you not - "Color Consultant"; I don't know why but I listened to her instead of hanging up, her spiel was:

"Do you know [Inser name of recent IPO]? Well they hired me and I changed the color of their corporate identity from Black on Green to Green on Black; well 4 months later they IPO's raising $250 million at a $1+ billion-dollar valuation".

WUT?

Her implication was that she was taking credit for the successful IPO.

So, there it is.

I am not saying that April's contribution was not useful, but... everything in a long process is useful, but not 1 single contribution is responsible for the entire (or majority) of success. Except for grit!

I grew up in the outskirts of Portland OR. I've lived in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, London, Paris, Milano and NYC.

NYC is my place to be.

This is an issued that existed before COVID-19, more so now.

Here's the thing: what prevents someone from moving after taking a job that allows for "remote work"? And - more importantly - what would be the repercussions should someone be found out?

My guess is that the risk is worth the money.

This comes from the military budget; they can light Cuban cigars with hundred dollar bills as a rounding error. The US Navy has 11 large fleet aircraft carriers, 9 assault carriers, when the rest of the World considers two carriers to be a lot. Schools hold bake sales to buy supplies, the Pentagon/The Congress spends a Trillion USD on a new manned fighter we don't need just to shovel pork into as many Congressional districts as possible.

In a similar vein as our Carriers, we have 123 military satellites. Since the X-37 is maneuverable and reusable, it might be cheaper in the long run than more satellites.

This and similar mission are not NASA missions but USSF's missions (United States Space Force), and USFF is part of the United States Armed Forces, different budget:

Congrats to giphy I guess? But I'll be honest, any time I've ever used them as an extension in slack or anywhere, and tried to get relevant gifs, I got back some really bad results. I'll never fully understand why they're so successful short of just dominating the market through sheer popularity. I remember switching our team over to rightgif and the difference was astounding given the fact that giphy has millions upon millions and loads of developers.
