They still haven’t fully torn down a Texas Instruments plant in Stafford, TX that closed a decade ago. But now we’ve got an In and Out and Costco on the former campus.

I wonder how authentic the hat must be after restoration? And how exactly restoration is done ? It seems restoration had to be funded so must be some elaborate process.

Tanks haven't really changed, although I don't know why anyone would be concerned over 40lbs. What has really improved are dive lights. You can get LED primary lights now that are quite bright with excellent battery life so you can see all the colors.

I was concerned because I was mostly shore diving. I hadn’t considered LEDs being used for dive lights and appreciate the link.

I grew up pretty spoiled by riches, being certified in the Caribbean, but diving quickly lost its allure to me. You start losing color quickly at depth and it’s like staring into an aquarium while risking your life.

Are the tanks still 40lbs or has technology finally caught up to them?

That's "the entire strategy" for becoming a non-beginner. Poker game theory gets much more complicated at higher levels of play.

One of the best life lessons I learned was while perusing a poker strategy book in a bookstore as a teen. I’ve never been into poker, not even sure why I picked it up. One thing it said was the most important thing to remember is that most of your hands will be crap. Don’t get attached to a bad hand and don’t convince yourself that an ok hand is a good hand. If you just fold the bad hands and play the good ones you’re already a better player than most.

I took that to heart and it has served me well in life.

That’s it. That’s the entire strategy. I pray that the Texas Hold ‘Em fad doesn’t come back. That was an insufferable decade of hearing how clever everyone was.

Came for insufferable comments, left satisfied.

The last paradigm shift was radio, everything since then has been evolution and miniaturization.

I question what we’re learning of such value from a 2,500 year old corpse that warrants leaving this person outside of the ground.
