If we won't stop what he is doing with grok and ai-generated CSAM, he will be completely free from oversight up there.

Isn't this literally economics 101? How did we ever even end up imagining that tariffs are somehow paid by the exporter??
wanderinghogan · 2 months ago
I suspect tens of millions of Americans believe whatever they are told by their trusted "news" source. My only basis is anecdotal though, a dozen or so "maga/trump no matter what" family members and people I grew up with are mostly believing the tariffs are something other countries are paying the US.

Is it? "Large blocks of vehicles moving in tandem" is a technology we have today: trains. Are trains that bad for pedestrians and bikes?
wanderinghogan · 2 years ago
You mean the trains that go by once every 15+ minutes, and are confined to a track with no way for the operator to do anything but brake or speed up, compared to every few seconds with the ability for the driver to take control at any moment?

But I guess this would work/be status quo for non-autos if we kept the signals so peds and bikes knew they could still cross and probably not get run over by someone who decided to switch back to manual control.

Why not include this data in their AI training models? Personally, I was irritated after that quiet 'opt-out' via email to prevent your corporate slack from being used in their ai training models change, recently. I guess they can double dip? Have you pay the pennies for data retention and use your corporate communications to train the next things they will sell you?

>The Kitchen Nightmares host unsuccessfully attempted to free himself from the lease in a legal battle at the High Court in 2015.

i'm guessing it's been vacant since at least then?

There needs to be some mechanism for communities to reclaim spaces like this. they have value to a town, and leaving them vacant has a cost. i'm not sure giving them over to squatters is the right solution, but there needs to be consequences for property owners who harm a community by taking up space and ensuring it provides zero value to anybody by leaving it vacant.

It's wild how locally variable the sea level surface is. I worked on a study that incorporated local sea levels into a bath-tub style sea level rise model that that also incorporated storm surge using ADCIRC modeling, and we tried to account for local land subsidence and uplift rates... anyways.

If you look at the "NOAA Tides and Currents" data, and go to Maryland, and click two points across the Chesapeake bay from each other. Go to More Data > Datum, you can see just across a 20 mile stretch of bay, Bishops Head MD MHHW (Mean Higher High Water, when there are two daily high tides, this is the elevation of the higher of the two) is 2.06 Feet over the vertical datum, while 20 miles away at Solomons Island MD it's a half foot lower, 1.48 Ft.

I believe you are thinking of Methotrexate, but I may be mistaken. I know it's used in ectopic pregnancies at least and starts the process of getting the cells out.
