I know you're joking, but I'm talking about legal responsibility like this: https://insideevs.com/news/575160/mercedes-accepts-legal-res.... In this case, Mercedes, not the the developer, is assuming liability, but that responsibility will trickle down.
tut-urut-utut · a year ago
Why do you think it’s fair for responsibility to trickle down, while profit never goes to engineers.

Germany was where Putin was stationed for decades - that's why he speaks fluent German and spends a disproportionate amount of time on German politics. His penetration of German politics makes US politics in 2016 look like test run.

Putin successfully convinced the Germans to abandon nuclear power and then pay him to build a dedicated pipeline into Germany - making all of Europe more dependent on Russia.

...and Germans fell for it. There must be dozens, if not hundreds of Russian operatives in German political offices.

tut-urut-utut · a year ago
If that was the case how do you explain that that pipeline never went live?

If Russia is so influential in Germany how do you explain Germany importing expensive environmentaly damaging LNG from the USA instead of the cheap Russian environmentally friendly natural gas?

Someone in the US can start a Delaware LLC or C corporation without living in Delaware. Can someone living in Germany set up an LLC or corporation in Denmark or Estonia instead of Germany?
tut-urut-utut · a year ago
Yes, but they would still be a subject of German taxation, which is ridiculously complex and expensive compared to Delaware LLC or an Estonian company run by a person not living in Germany.

> First Sam vs. the board, now Elon vs. everyone

Elon Musk is renowned for being an attention seeker and doing these stunts as a proxy to relevance. It's touring Texas borders wearing a hat backwards, it's messing with Ukraine's access to starlink alongside making statements on geopolitics, it's pretending that he discovered railway and the technology for digging holes in the ground as a silver bullet for transportation problems, it's making bullshit statements on cave rescue submarines followed by attacking actual cave rescuers who pointed out the absurdity of it of being pedophiles... Etc etc etc.

I think it makes no sense at all to evaluate the future of an organization based on what stunts Elon Musk is pulling. There must be better metrics.

Ad hominem makes for a damn good argument, especially if the person in case doesn’t try to appease everyone.

And that's what happens if you demilitarize and then put all your cards on consulting companies. I wanna see the KPMG, McKinsey battalion defending the Eastern border against a Russian invasion.

> The contrast is likely due to the different religions William and Temujin practiced.

This was my initial gut reaction as well, but then I remembered the incredible violence and devastation that Christian Europeans brought upon themselves and others over the last 1500 years. How many of those kings, popes, and other leaders expressed similar regret on their deathbeds?

Don’t generalise to all European Christians. It was the west European Catholic and Protestant Christians. Orthodox Christians were and are up to these days much more civilised society.

they are probably referencing an antisemitic conspiracy theory. I can't tell whether as a joke, or seriously. In any case, it should probably be downvoted, or dang should remove it. it's psuedohistory, invented to spead hate.

I think it’s obviously it’s a joke. However, there’s even a smiley at the end of the comment, as a clue for the people with broken humour detector. I hope you saw it.
