In theory, you could rent a truck for the 1% of the time you need it.

Yeah but then you can't put a snorkel on it and extraction boards and expedition gas cans so you can advertise how adventurous you are in your spare time.

If the data on that site is correct, it says 26%.

Sending people back to their home country, especially when 50% are criminals, is not the same as the holocaust. Comparing it to such is disgusting and insulting to the actual victims of Nazi violence.

ICE is often operating in a racist and dehumanizing way, but it is nowhere near the level of organized atrocity that it is regularly compared to.

50% are criminals? Do you have a source for that?

An important note not mentioned in this announcement is that Claude 4's training cutoff date is March 2025, which is the latest of any recent model. (Gemini 2.5 has a cutoff of January 2025)

How are we doing with next-gen solar desalination?

Or has all science been defunded at this point?

https://news.mit.edu/2022/solar-desalination-system-inexpens...

I know some US warships have massive desalination plants onboard, are they nuclear powered? Can we use the new micro-nuclear-reactors to power those for cities?

tristanb · 9 months ago
Desalination plants produce a lot of brine, which you need to dispose of. You can't just put it back in the sea without killing marine life. It's not a simple problem to solve.

I am so sick of PG&E - our energy bills are nearly $1,000/mo. It's absolutely bonkers.
