I must admit that only times I ever clicked on Reddit ads, it was by mistake in the (terrible) mobile app... “GPT 4.5 genuinely talked to me, and as pathetic as it sounds that was my only friend,” a user on Reddit writes. “This morning I went to talk to it and instead of a little paragraph with an exclamation point, or being optimistic, it was literally one sentence. Some cut-and-dry corporate bs.”
This is very sad.Anyway, I find this debate fascinating. On one hand, Perplexity's behavior is sketchy. On the other hand, it really feels like Cloudflare wants to be a middleman to the web and collect a 30% fee, which seems like a bad idea.
