There have been grand total of two good companies worth anyone's pity have come from Netherlands, ASML and NXP both spinoffs/offshoots of Phillips.

The Netherlands is the last bastion of entreprenuership and innovation in deeply communist and anti-innovation, anti-rich and anti-prosperity EU.

Not sure how long before Netherlands nationalizes their big companies.

Are you implying that startup success in America requires exploitation of workers? I don't think most people would consider the management of early employees at successful startups to be "exploitative". Most of them are heavily incentivized.

There are specific issues with the worker models of Uber et al, but that's an orthogonal point to the general formation of startups.

He's implying that workers should work hard and give all the earnings and IP to the govt so they can "redistribute" and "rehire" for communal good.

Naked short selling through unlimited "Puts" is totally LEGAL for these hedge-funds, but when people caught them pants down they are using every ILLEGAL move to cover their asses and losses.

These are the corrupt and insane people who should be punished not the people who sussed out their bullshit!

What Robinhood and other platforms are doing is market manipulation which is illegal.

The legal and reasonable thing would be to allow trading these stocks with additional "e-signs" letting the individual know that there are additional risks here.

That would actually help the retail investor.

But these brokers and buddies are happy to help their hedge fund buddies!!

bad idea. indian companies haven't shown any competence or compassion in this space.

if they force Apple to pre-install appstore on phones? say bye-bye to $10 B manufacturing dream.

Having local controls and slightly stricter rules is good! But these chinese-commie style is bad!

Trading options is gambling. It is.

Just because TDAmeritrade has a very spartan UX doesn't mean people haven't made very stupid trades on it.

throaway1990 · 6 years ago
You are right, but Options trading isn't available to people with less than $5k deposits on Robinhood and I think same is true with margins.

Robinhood is more agressive when it comes to margin calls, that actually protects inexperienced investors.
