One of my senior professors used to say that during his school days, in one of their text books, it was mentioned that animals move their upper jaw when chewing food.

I think the biggest roadblock to adoption here will be for people to setup their AWS SES account. Cool project btw.

Between 2016 and 2020 about 100 new cables have been laid or planned. The primary reason for new cables is the demand for bandwidth. But it is difficult to pinpoint the source of this demand.

This definitely works from a cost pov. We use a small instance of AWS Aurora which is mostly idle. If we go this route we will need to see how quick the cold-start is and how quick the ACU scaling is. Serverless SQL DB - definitely a nice way to to go.
