I prefer it. Linux desktop feels a lot more laggy to me on the same hardware.

Of course that is minus all the recent AI/ad stuff on Windows…

It’s Rich Hickey’s “Simple made Easy” all over again. “Simple” is not the easy path. Simple (or simplex, unbraided) describes an end product with very little interleaving of components. Simplicity is elegant. It takes a lot of hard work to achieve a simple end product.

probably why people think rails is slow. our integration partners and our customers are constantly amazed by how fast and efficient our system is. The secret is I know how to write a damn query. you can push a lot of logic that would otherwise be done in the api layer into a query. if done properly with the right indexes, its going to be WAY faster than pulling the data into the api server and doing clumsy data transformations there.

How would they charge? The watt hours needed to fly a medium sized VTOL uav of any type for any reasonable amount of time can't be collected by the size of pv panel that can be reasonably carried by the same craft. Not unless it sits still for a week in a sunny spot.
