Nitpick, but a warning in dark green text on a light green background at the very top of the page where no one really looks .isn't really a warning.

I tested the demo at https://moq.dev/publish/ and it's buttery as hell. Very impressive. Thanks for the great technology!

Watching the Big Buck Bunny demo at https://moq.dev/watch/?name=bbb on my mobile phone leaves a lot of horizontal black lines. (Strangely, it is OK on my PC despite using the same Wi-Fi network.) Is it due to buffer size? Can I increase it client-side, or should it be done server-side?

Also, thanks for not missing South Kora in your "global" CDN map!

I don't get the black lines on Android/Chrome but it doesn't respect my aspect ratio when I go full screen. Instead of adding black bars to the sides, it excludes the top and bottom of the video completely.

Yep, including not being allowed to run red lights. It would also be great if they had license plates so you could easily report dangerous behaviour.

Lol, like hell it would. The supposed "danger" is not worth more legislation and overreach.

And I wish cyclists would re-learn that pedestrians have more rights of being on sidewalks. That said, the bigger plague on sidewalks are e-scooters.

Additionally, most cyclists I see never stop at stop signs no matter how busy the intersection is.

> And I wish cyclists would re-learn that pedestrians have more rights of being on sidewalks.

That's not universal, but I do wish they would just learn those laws for their state.

In my state, they have equal rights, and that is that no one has the right of way. If you run into someone, it's your fault full stop. If you couldn't stop in time, then you were travelling too fast for the situation. If someone is blocking the sidewalk, they're a dick, but you can't do anything about it without getting arrested except to find another way around.

Also, if you're on a bike and about to pass a pedestrian, you must give an audible (to the ped) signal so as to warn of your approach. Even then, if you hit them, it's because you were going to fast to stop safely in case they wandered into your path.

I love the laws in my state regarding shared cycling/pedestrian ways, and sidewalks in particular. Very reasonable and fair.

Complete unrelated, I just wish every driver on the road re-learn that cyclists have the same rights of being on city roads like cars.

I just wish every cyclist would re-learn that they're bound by the same traffics laws as every driver on the road. I'd bet accidents are more often than not mostly their fault.

Full disclosure: I'm currently in a leadership role on an AI engineering team, so it's in my best interest for AI to be perceived as driving value.

Here's a relatively straightforward application of AI that is set to save my company millions of dollars annually.

We operate large call centers, and agents were previously spending 3-5 minutes after each call writing manual summaries of the calls.

We recently switched to using AI to transcribe and write these summaries. Not only are the summaries better than those produced by our human agents, they also free up the human agents to do higher-value work.

It's not sexy. It's not going to replace anyone's job. But it's a huge, measurable efficiency gain.

I wouldn't allow myself to be held accountable for anything in a summary I didn't write.

You can still have kids and not have any dependents. As in, they grow up and move out.

I don't think they do that good a job of explaining what it is, but the Reddit post linked below included this comment which is helptful: "You know how when you search your notes for something, say a phrase? Well, Bases can basically hold a static search that automatically updates. And, instead of searching all over again, you just click into the Bases file and new notes are just there in the default table format.

On top of that, you can add other properties to the view, especially one like modified date, which updates every time you modify the file. This is useful for seeing which files you haven't looked at in a while. Old concepts often apply to new ones, but we sometimes forget to check back to make that connection explicit."

Sounds like a View.

TLDR: Just be a good person as much you can...

Armchair philosopher: But you have to define good before you can follow it. Even the Golden Rule falls apart if you're a masochist.

stronglikedan · 5 days ago
In my mind that's easy. Doing "good" is just doing things that don't intentionally hurt others, unless it's to defend oneself or save many others from harm.
