I had spent ages optimizing my maze solver ( https://github.com/VrIgHtEr/TheFarmerSolvedAMaze ). Meticulously going over which operations take how many ticks. But then the dev made a bunch of breaking changes and couldn't be bothered to rewrite everything.

Run an agent on it. This is what they excel at.

I don't understand your point. Internet and forests are different systems. They both have different uses and different types of management. It doesn't make sense to me to compare. Could you expand more?

I think the OP is making a point that we should resources as The Internet Archive as services that are in the best interest of the public.

Not take from the beauty of these trees, but this time of the year is always my favourite time in Vancouver for the sheer amount of colour and pop that the city gets. Sometimes only for a few weeks only to be gone in the first storm and other times lingering for up to a month of beauty. Nature is fantastic.
soultrees commented on Netflix Kept Showing Smoking in TV Shows Despite 2019 Pledge, Study Finds   forbes.com/sites/zacharys... · Posted by u/nuker

I’ve always thought tobacco companies had some influence on Netflix’s programming. The scenes where smoking is involved are usually set up so the whole ritual is seen (take the pack out, maybe tap it, pull it out, light and take your first big inhale with all the sounds and smells that come with it). That’s the ritual that many smokers know and has for sure influenced my cravings when I was trying to quit smoking a few years ago.

No it isn't. I use and like the app also, but the GitHub repo link on their page takes you to a separate release artifact management repo, not the source code itself.

Their linked GitHub repo, which only has a compiled zip uploaded for release artifact creation, not the code:

From the repo:

"Sources for this software are closed."

I wonder why the author hasn't open sourced it - there doesn't appear to be any commercial aspect to the tool, and the author makes a point of it being "free" on the site.

AI ownership most likely. Preventing LLMs from using it’s code in an output and not putting it in the ‘safe to spew’ bucket.

Conventional multispectral and hyperspectral can't keep up (and integrate well) into existing sorting lines. They induce a slow-down in conveyer belt speeds or you have to install splitters and buy multiple $100K cameras.

(we're working to solve this problem though in the classic VC backed way - DM for more information!)

They don’t save money when you have to ask it multiple times to get the expected output.
