How wiki could be the threat here?
soferio · 4 months ago
There are topics, pictures and instructions that are not suitable for 11 year olds but are for adults. Consider the wiki entries on certain matters of extreme violence, ideology or adult culture.

What is the character of the puzzles? Is there a variety?

Where is the line between war and terrorism ?

This attack is quite indiscriminate. There are already videos circulating of random people being collateral damage.

Israel is losing the support of people more and more, and all that due to the crusade of Netanyahu to stay in power and to not be imprisoned for his former crimes.

Despicable. So much human suffering and for what ?

This military response was the opposite of indiscriminate. It was proportionate and targeted. It focussed as best as anyone ever could on the precise set of people who (hiding among their own civilians) have been launching hundreds of inaccurate rockets to kill Israeli civilians - for months.

Is there a good reason to exclude abductive reasoning from an analysis like this? It's even considered by at least one of the referenced papers (Fangzhi 2023a).

Abductive reasoning is common in day-to-day life. It seeks the best explanation for some (often incomplete) observations, and reaches conclusions without certainty. I would have thought it would be important to assess for LLMs.

Is abductive inference synonymous with bayesian inference?

I am genuinely surprised that these have been and continue to be so low. Do not know why but I was under the impression, that we had already gotten into the 1 Million USD range. While I do not know how much an interested party would realistically pay for an exploit that enables the complete takeover or even just limited access to a Gmail/Google account, I am pretty sure it has to be an order (perhaps even orders) of magnitude more than 75k.

Looked into it and am equally surprised to find that others, like Microsoft [0] also have such low bounties for these types of attacks.

While providing such an exploit to the affected company has value beyond the bounty (potential job offers, media exposure, credibility, ethical considerations, etc.), weighing that up against life-changing money really makes it hard to fault those who take the more lucrative route of selling these to the highest bidder, whoever that may be.

Seriously, Alphabet and Co. can afford more, especially considering any such exploit would most certainly hit their bottom line/stock far beyond a few 100k.

I agree. As a Nest user, I am astonished at how low the bounty is.

I work at the intersection of power and AI. Buy utility stock. The bottleneck for AI expansion will not be installed GPUs, but the electricity they need to run. We are in an energy crisis and not many realize it yet. Virgina, Texas, Arizona and soon to be Ohio and Georgia are out of generation capacity and the data centers are like locusts.

This is very interesting to read. I am in Australia and quite interested in this investment thesis although I’m not an investment professional. What are the best things to read about the demand Supply mismatch?
