You write all messages multiple times, them clarify it's only 3 services. Stop that. If it doesn't support everything mainstream, don't claim "all".

Absurd. McDonald chose to participate in Korean market and I see no kimchi burgs there?

What an absolutely absurd thing to say

Yeah, with help of KGB. What could possibly go wrong? It could become as democratic as Cuba. In best case. Or take path of other countries with exported communist revolutions, like North Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam. You just don't know about pervasive and perverted level of informants and delation that was installed by these "democratic" countries
sjdrc · a month ago
Well you went off the rails. The comment is talking about Chile, which was a democracy before the CIA overthrew the government and installed a dictator. What does that have to do with other countries or the KGB?

It's so insane that in the land of the free you have to go to court just to attempt to enforce your constitutional "rights"

"But then I look at what these tools actually manage to do, and am disillusioned: these tools can be worse than useless, making us net-negative productive." It starts from this premise right in the first paragraph. And goes on to illustrate an example that proves their point ("Let's pick one of the best possible examples of AI-generated code changes.").

anyways, it doesn't matter that much :) we could be both right.

Yeah you can't use the cherry picked example argument when it was chosen by the developers

Source?

I have never heard of a bank’s core mainframes being hacked in the last decade (outside of pen tests), even for mid size banks outside the global top 100.

What are you talking about? There are massive breaches of huge companies who should be doing better all the time.

In 2017: > More than 40% of the population of America was potentially impacted by the Equifax data breach.

In 2022: > In September 2022, Optus experienced a major data breach that exposed the personal information of millions of customers

That's just 2 off the top of my head.

And at the top of the page in the "key takeaways" > Samsung's Galaxy Buds FE are known for their affordability, high-quality audio, comfort, touch controls, and water resistance.

Thank you for this! I've had a long and stressful history with Signal around retaining my chat histories. I recently managed to decrypt some old locked backups and merge them together to use on my android phone, but for 2020 I used an iPhone and have had to keep that old phone around just to keep my chat history. I'm looking forwards to trying this method out.

I'm interested in checking this out but I'm not going to sign up to a service without at least reasing a basic overview on the website.
sjdrc commented on NSW Health limits residents of locked-down tower block to six beers per day   news.com.au/national/nsw-... · Posted by u/walterbell

When I was in NZ's MIQ you were only allowed a certain volume of alcohol - e.g. X beers, 1 bottle of wine, or something like that each day, and to get more on later days you would have to put the consumed bottles out for collection, so you couldn't store them and then binge drink.

Seemed entirely reasonable to me.

sjdrc · 4 years ago
Why do you think it’s reasonable for the government to be deciding how much private citizens can drink? Would you support a country wide policy like this regardless of whether someone is in lockdown or not?
