The only other news I consume is via AllSides: https://www.allsides.com/unbiased-balanced-news

They take a headline and present an article from different 3 news sources. The 3 sources will include left leaning, right leaning and more neutral new organizations so you get a perspective from all sides.

A very relevant podcast I was listening to this morning about screens and gaming. Always enjoy the times I hear from Dr. Kanojia

What are the best strategies for increasing nose breathing?
sanman811 · 3 years ago
I would also suggest looking into the Oxygen Advantage system. Just finished reading the Breathing Cure by Patrick McKeown, makes some interesting claims but mostly found helpful exercises to retrain nasal breathing

This feels like a good reminder of the obsessiveness (and narcissism?) it takes to actually create something successful.

Kudos to him for putting it all out there

What kind of a difference have you noticed? I also take 2000 IUs, but I haven't noticed any significant difference in how I feel since I've started taking it.

I personally just felt a little sadder and lower energy in my first winter in a gloomy climate. The vitamin D just made me slightly more chipper and energetic.

I didn’t do a blood test pre vitamin D but tested recently and my levels look good, so my doc said to just keep on it.

Wouldn’t say the difference is transformative but it’s helpful.

Hey people who follow the science: As an “indoor human”, how much should I be taking? (TIA!)
sanman811 · 3 years ago
I wouldn’t say I have followed the science but my doc prescribed 2000 IUs daily and it definitely makes a noticeable difference in a gloomy winter

I disagree with the evaluation made on the response for a risotto recipe by ChatGPT. While I agree that a lot modern recipe sites are ad filled garbage, I believe there is value in getting a quick glance on who the recipe writer is.

Where culture do they come from? What experience do they have? These insights can help me understand how to adjust the recipe ingredients to my tastes. Versus a generic recipe from ChatGPT that doesn’t provide any context.

Plus if I find a recipe I really like then I can save that website and dig into other recipes from that person because now I know I am more likely to trust their tastes.

I stopped watching it after the penalty.

This is not football, it's geopolitics.

Might want to start rewatching. Geopolitics be darned
