Well that answers why my keys no longer work on recent re-install. Ended up having to get grey market key. Figured after 10 years wasn’t the worst expense, but the amount of adverts and telemetry they gather for the price not sure it’s even worth the 15 dollars.

They still be shaddy, for example being persecuted by a government for your Faith. They turn over all your Contacts and ip addresses of your contacts so now all your friends can be persecuted... Substitute faith for: whatever...

Wow this is really nice I downloaded the app and yes you need a number to verify to signup but you can choose to not share your number to groups and you can turn off the ability to find you by your number. And only use your username.

Do you get the same features self-hosting as you do paying for their cloud offering?
robertjglick · 2 years ago
Some features require paying. For example: TOTP. But if you want just for passwords it is free.

I have used both and I think they both have there benefits. Graphene is super focused on Security, there google play compatibility works well you can use all google apps with them but not with Calyos. Calyxos focuses more on the open source community and sponsors a lot of other projects. Calyxos is nice for those that want nothing to do with google play services. I am biased though. I use CalyOSas my daily driver but to each their own. I can see this thread turning into a flame war.
