Still less than 20% of the market. And I feel like the main reason they're even usable as a desktop OS is because 99% of most people's computer activity takes place in a web browser and not because OSX has a particularly special native app collection. Hell it seems like the only time I fire up my mac is because I need to build an iDevice app and nearly every "native" mac app I run is really Electron based.
Unfortunately, the rust std docs are not my favourite. I think i'm much more comfortable in other's languages docs. I really like the examples, like in c++.
Maybe I just don't know hot to use them.
The other advantage of FF for me, besides Pocket, is that I can share and send pages with FF on Android which has support for ad-blockers. Last time I checked, Chrome didn't support extensions on Android.
You should not care about how much ram chrome consume if you have 32gb, however i think you should switch to firefox if you care about your privacy and the future of the web.
I'm referring to the bugs that cause extreme CPU usage and as a consequence extreme heating and battery usage, mainly on macbooks with retina screens set to "more space" resolution.
I work in a whole building full of developers where every single mac user has stopped using firefox due to this issue, yet there seems to be a deep disconnection between how prevalent the issue is and the priority it seems to be assigned.
I hope I'm not coming off as an ass here, I'm just sad that I've had to move away from firefox and to see all my coworkers also moving to chrome.
