It's still incredible you can coerce a language model to produce this, but it's not a new game, I've had it on my phone for a few years: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rohitpailw...
popeshoe commented on YouTube isn’t for kids, but kids videos are among its most popular   latimes.com/business/stor... · Posted by u/rschnalzer

Sometimes if you catch a new video soon after it's been uploaded you can see it's in a state before the recommendations have been generated, the few times I've seen it happen the recommendations were entirely kids videos with vibrant thumbnails and strange names.

I have no idea how youtube gets it's recommendations when this happens, but if it's some sort of randomish fallback list, I can easily believe that cheap, mass produced kids content is a huge fraction of youtube uploads/views.

Immediate first impression: I don't like the font.

So I took a closer look at it and I think the gray is too bright and the font itself... Well, it isn't too bad, but I wouldn't consider it elegant nor readable.

Apart from the font, I like the clean look and minimal layout.

I hope this feedback helps to improve the theme for future versions ;-)

I was going to post the same thing, I bet it looks great on a retina mac screen, but on my windows machine with a monitor too big for 1080p, something about it feels off.

Otherwise I think it looks great though, nice job!

Work as a programmer for whoever will pay you the most. Invest, and donate money to causes you care about.

If you're on HN you're probably also conscious of your philanthropy being used for the maximal good, in which case you may be interested in projects like https://www.effectivealtruism.org/

A Prague citizen came to local police station in fall 1968. At the desk he claimed "Officer, a Swiss soldier stole my Russian watch". Officer looked puzzled and responded "I guess you mean that a Russian soldier stole your Swiss watch." The man replied "It might be so, but remember that you said that. Not me."

Deus Ex got me at the perfect time in my life (15 y/o pseudo-intellectual nerd) so I really loved the game, so reading this was great. Such was my nerd infatuation with this game, that as I was reading about the various locations, the corresponding music would pop into my brain almost immediately, a testament to the great soundtrack (eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FZ-12a3dTI )

Especially interesting is seeing how the times and what we expect from videogames have changed, on page 23 there's a dejected nod to people expecting a 90s first person game to have multiplayer, even though it's primarily a single player RPG, but they'll do it as a bullet point to go on the back of the box.

I'm kind of astounded that modern planes haven't had this feature for a long time

Not a woman, but Garry of Garrysmod fame has a very interesting set of blog posts about dealing with and eventually befriending his internet stalker in an attempt to curb the guy's worst behavior.

As a big PC gamer I've basically abandoned mobile gaming as it feels like everything out there is trying to get my money by means ranging from insidious to annoying. This is compounded by the fact that browsing the google play games store is a showcase of shamelessness where different developers are releasing essentially identical clones of whatever's popular, it's kind of depressing.

The only mobile games I can bring myself to recommend are Andoku Sudoku, The little crane that could, and crossy road (which even includes monetisation schemes without feeling intensely annoying).

Suggestions for others would be appreciated

This does not scale. It might work for a few people in a population of thousands, but beyond that false positives are going to be a real problem.

This is clearly a play by the plastic surgery lobby to get people to have work done so they look less like known criminals.
