So did the last round of investors lose 1/3rd of their investment (and after waiting four years, too)? Was this a fire sale?
pisarzp · 6 years ago
No, usually investors stock is preferred with 1x liquidation preference. This means they get their money back, then the rest is split among other shareholders

You don't find investors. Investors find you. Ship your product and prove your business model. Investors will come to you.

I think it's a bad advice. If you only wait for investors to find you, you don't run competitive process, don't have enough options and you give up your shares at too low price.

If anyone at Superhuman could refer me, I’d love to give it a crack at my 5 emails accounts where I receive 1,000 messages each day and I only get to respond to a few hundred. :-) anything I can do to be more productive and answer more fan mail.

Funnily enough, top comments say it works only for people with one account :)

How does something like this work in Europe with no signature on the card? When I tried to use a US card without a PIN that I hadn't yet signed, a German checker made a fuss about the missing signature. This isn't a problem in the US where no one bothers checking the signature.

What about a brewery I went to this weekend where neither swipe or chip was available for their POS and the card number was manually entered?

We use chip&pin in europe. It looks like Apple card supports it and you'll be fine

It sounds like Apple's doing a lot of things very right with Card. I am curious when it's going to be available here in Germany.

Not soon. Business model in Europe is much less interesting, since EU capped interchange fees

I hope this is expanded beyond the US. I would get in a heartbeat; if Apple can expand this offering to Europe and other parts of the world with very little use of credit cards they will be able to create new business at a massive scale.

The problem is credit card business in US is a)much more profitable due to significantly higher interchange fees and b)credit cards adoption is much higher.
pisarzp commented on Google's Page Allegedly Gave Rubin $150M Stock Award   bloomberg.com/news/articl... · Posted by u/smacktoward

People are not freaking out because Page gave away 150M to huge benefactor and innovator, but because "Page gave away $150000000 to a sexual harassment perpetrator!!!". In this light, doesn't it look bad?

My opinion is that Rubin deserves to be awarded (with a proper company policy to prevent misuse of funds, nepotism etc). But also deserves to be fired and punished for misconduct (if it is proven to have occurred). These two are not mutually exclusive. The rest is all fluff about how the public perceives a company's culture.

well, he kind of was fired (asked to leave)

Hey, but isn't TLO a ZERG player?
pisarzp · 7 years ago
He is, he played off-race, that's why they invited MaNa to allow AI play against very strong protoss

The gameplay was really interesting - i wonder if we'll start seeing the over-saturation of the main prior to first expand in pro games?
pisarzp · 7 years ago
I think this was one of the most interesting aspects of seeing AlphaStar play.

MaNa already started to use oversaturation when he played live game against the AI. I'd bet soon this will be the new meta, and everyone will play this way
