phreack commented on In a genre where spoilers are devastating, how do we talk about puzzle games?   thinkygames.com/features/... · Posted by u/tobr

I took something away from this article. While I enjoyed Blue Prince very much even though I played it alone, the surprisingly most enjoyable aspect of the game came externally - it was (and is) following my friends' journey through the game and being there to give them custom made consensual spoiler-free, hints when they needed. Some times simply being told you're barking up a very wrong tree or that you don't have enough information yet is exactly what you need to not get burnt out. I keep wondering if there's a way to have that baked into the game. Something to brainstorm.
phreack commented on I was banned from Claude for scaffolding a Claude.md file?   hugodaniel.com/posts/clau... · Posted by u/hugodan

My rudimentary guess is this. When you write in all caps, it triggers sort of a alert at Anthropic, especially as an attempt to hijack system prompt. When one claude was writing to other, it resorted to all caps, which triggered the alert, and then the context was instructing the model to do something (which likely would be similar to a prompt injection attack) and that triggered the ban. not just caps part, but that in combination of trying to change the system characteristics of claude. OP does not know much better because it seems he wasn't closely watching what claude was writing to other file.

if this is true, the learning is opus 4.5 can hijack system prompts of other models.

Wait what? Really? All caps is a bannable offense? That should be in all caps, pardon me, in the terms of use if that's the case. Even more so since there's no support at the highest price point.

Love the music. Is the music original or is there an artist attached?

There's links on the homepage to the soundtrack and credits, the artist is called Synthenia.

I'm amazed at the amount of work and love that's in this game, that you can play for free. I hope it helps more devs get into the retro scene!
phreack commented on Nova Launcher added Facebook and Google Ads tracking   lemdro.id/post/lemdro.id/... · Posted by u/celsoazevedo

I would honestly have stayed in version 6 of Nova because of the as yet unrecreated magical feature of allowing unread count badges on the home screen for many popular apps, that are not tied to notifications, via TeslaUnread. I've been trying to reverse engineer it a bit to see if I can recreate the functionality somehow, but all I've managed to figure out is that the icons are really widgets that look like icons and run _something_.

Features like that one, and browser text reflow, are such must haves to me that we used to have a decade ago and lost along the way for no good reason, it's frustrating.

If an iPhone is going to be as bad as an Android like that then what's the point. The "premium" feeling is eroded like this.

Anyone makes a PR, there's a vote and highest voted one gets merged every week. It's marvelous.
