Why is 11:30:30 not a perfect equilateral triangle. The "hours" spacing is a bit off

On the other hand.. planning, preparation and mise-en-place can help with doing the thing.

But only if you end up doing the thing (and avoid analysis paralysis)

Don't.

Among the many other reasons why you shouldn't do this, there are regularly reported cases of AIs working around these types of restrictions using the tools they have to substitute for the tools they don't.

Don't be the next headline about AI deleting your database.

They're pricing at the point of pain, not maximizing efficiency. There are few enough companies (what, like, 3?) that own the majority of the brands so they don't even need to collude to figure out that they can all hover around "as high as we can get away with" together.

I've been nursing a minor Coke Zero addiction for years but usually get the store brand which is close enough at half the cost. For whatever reason Coke Zero itself dropped in price by about 30% recently but that's apparently not nationwide.

It really kind of blows my mind how much of that people drink. I'll get a 2 liter bottle that will last days and then I read about people going through entire cases of Mountain Dew Insane Flavor Combo Super Bacinator Blast in a day and it's like my god that's like 4000 kcals of corn syrup.

Once a system has a sufficient number of users, it no longer matters what you "explicitly" promised in your documentation or contract.

Hyrum’s Law: all observable behaviors of your system will eventually be depended on by someone.

Even if you tell users not to rely on a specific side effect, once they discover it exists and find it useful, that behavior becomes an implicit part of your system's interface. As a result, engineers often find that "every change breaks someone’s workflow," even when that change is technically a bug fix or a performance improvement.

Reliance on unpromised behavior is something I was also introduced to as Kranz’s Law (or Scrappy's Law*), which asserts that things eventually get used for their inherent properties and effects, without regard for their intended purpose.

"I insisted SIGUSR1 and SIGUSR2 be invented for BSD. People were grabbing system signals to mean what they needed them to mean for IPC, so that (for example) some programs that segfaulted would not coredump because SIGSEGV had been hijacked. This is a general principle — people will want to hijack any tools you build, so you have to design them to either be un-hijackable or to be hijacked cleanly. Those are your only choices." —Ken Arnold in The Art Of Unix Programming

I curious how you paste diffs into the Ai. And wouldnt a coding assistant in the IDE be a much more convenient solution?
ninju · a month ago
If you have the changes as a GitHub PR you can add .diff to the end of the URL to get a single page of all the changes

Plex misjudged their market bigly. They’re turning into a streaming company, when what people paid for is a media server.

> While nothing has been finalized yet, we are considering 'dropping' the major version 10, which would make the next release 12.0

You mean to say dropping version 11 (and moving straight to 12)
