Microsoft was one of the first companies who fully internalized the importance of seamless backwards compatibility. The lessons had been around for a while, such as the fate of the 1200XL.

They would have done a lot better, even at a higher price, if they had focused on it. The Atari 8-bit line had a lot going for it and was arguably superior (flame wars incoming, Atari army please help me) in many ways than the C64.

When will AI replace CEOs?

It's all just a bunch of rehashed corpospeak language anyway.

I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned Larn/ULarn, which I played a lot back in the day. Each level was about the size of a Rogue level, but levels weren't completely random. There were a number of basic level templates, each of which could be modified in various ways. Some were random mazes; in others, the basic map never changed, but doors got added or deleted in various places.

My basic strategy was to save my coins until I could get the Lance of Death, the "Walk through Walls" spell, haste self spell, and "permanent" spell, which made current buffs permanent. Then I could romp and frolic through the levels.

For years I've wondered why a general purpose, high quality, good UX, browser based DB browser has not existed. I've implemented 3 such (not general-purpose) browsers in my career. But I'd be really happy to stop doing that and use this instead.

I would love to see a Firestore driver implemented (maybe I'll take a crack at it some day), as I'm stuck in GCP land for the time being.

I have "XXL" size hands (some fingers push against tips of most XL gloves I try) and I find the Glove80 very comfortable fwiw

Switched from Kinesis Advantage after 15 years. Love the Pro Red config that's available out of box without expensive customization.

How long have you been using the glove80? I'm a smaller handed KA2 user but have been eyeing up switching to a glove80. Any complaints or trouble switching?
