Dead Comment
For a long time, I used PHP and JS/TS for web projects. Now I'm using Rust with Axum/Tokio/Tower/Hyper (web server), Leptos (SSR using "Islands" flag, which also allows WASM generation for front end; JSX-like syntax), and Diesel (ORM and query builder that expects you define your schema using raw SQL). (I also leapt from DB2, MySQL and MariaDB to PostgreSQL)
It's heaven.
1. The browser needs to load the whole app before anything else could be done resulting in a slow first load.
2. WASM -> DOM manipulation is slow.
Also, it's advertisers that stay away, and it's X challenging them in court over it. The world is getting weirder by the day.
Do you have an uncle that can't stop ranting and calling people names? People just leave his presence. That behavior is just the worst and we're not born to suffer it, passively. That's the whole point of the free speech fallacy. Now the shouters are in power, so they can pour their trauma down our throats, as if this were some therapy. No, it's just abuse and it's perverse. That's why people leave X. They have a target on their back.
Advertisers have left as part of a concerted pressure campaign to bring back censorship. This effort has been coordinated by NGOs that ironically receive funding by the US Gov't as part of their mis/dis/malinformation playbook in order to keep in check populist political movements that may undermine the State Department's interests. As soon as Elon sued GARM, it broke apart, and I bet the Trump admin will target NewsGuard and kill it as well.
And there is some irony in your praise for tolerance.

> A court hearing is typically held after a bankruptcy auction to finalize the winning bids and sales, and to hear any objections, so the process in Jones's case hasn't strayed far from the usual — yet.

Also try and cut out the name calling, especially when you're incorrect.
- we now see that "bidenomics" was a disaster after the media decided to stop lying about it and blaming the people for not believing "the stats". job numbers revised down massively after it was no longer viable to lie during the election.
- crime rates revised silently UP: https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2024/10/16/...
- apparently there was no need for a "bipartisan border bill" or for "congress to act" in order to shut down the border as encounters are down 90% now.
people have their panties in a bunch about tariffs, but I don't understand why reciprocal tariffs are so bad.
it appears that people here are happy for things to go south just so that they could shit on trump. how about having a bit more optimism for the future, even if the near term will be a bit shakey?
