The problem is that it's a government regulation regarding everyone, because now everyone must prove that they're not a subject of this new law.

Do you think there should there be police on every corner you must submit your ID to to prove you're not an illegal immigrant?

mrcode007 · 8 days ago
Imagine having to show your ID demonstrating you’re not subject to the law punishing you for driving a car without a driving license.

PCIe is full duplex while DDR5 is half duplex so in theory PCIe is higher. It's rare to max out PCIe in both directions though.

What does it mean to open source this? Genuinely. Won't the irs just say, "we only accept digital filing from known providers"?
mrcode007 · 5 months ago
The workaround is for everyone to coordinate , print and mail physical returns. Let IRS have fun with scanning and processing :) enough people do this, IRS would open up digital filing again

> Low volatility is good for everyone engaged in long term asset management.

According to who?

There are plenty of pension funds nowdays that have people specialized in picking up mid sized companies after big drops.

mrcode007 · 5 months ago
it’s a known effect. Without going into details here, you can calculate first crossing time of a barrier in a stochastic process and observe that often the first crossing time decreases as the volatility increases. From there you can set one barrier at 0 (default) and draw your own conclusion.

There's an interesting extension to Analytic Combinatorics by Flajolet/Sedgewick called "Analytic Combinatorics in Several Variables" by Pemantle and Wilson: https://www2.math.upenn.edu/~pemantle/papers/ACSV.pdf and https://acsvproject.com/

It extends the original framework with a lot of useful new primitives, like Hadamard products. Super useful!

Manufacturing what though? Certainly not technology. We know they're not trying to build their own compute clouds to compete with AWS or Microsoft. Or OpenAI. They're not even trying to compete with Nvidia.

The EU's entire productive economy is stuff like cheese, VW cars, and perfumes.

I think this is pretty much a “everyone can agree it’s idiotic” thing?

The only people that should be overjoyed are current holders of bitcoin.

Which I don’t doubt includes (somehow) a lot of the people active in the administration.

Yep. It’s a classic grift; it even has a name „control fraud”…

Described in depth in „lying for money”
