Maybe I'm the only one, but does anyone else have an issue on macOS where Claude Code never updates itself automatically and you always have an error? I guess it's in times when I leave the CLI tool running and an update comes in overnight. But the alert seems to indicate it should update and fails.

Uninstall it and install it via home brew fixed it for me.

Are you sure? I think the statement said he was a son.

You are right, sorry about that. I can't read today. I deleted that part.

I can't believe this. Yesterday I saw his last educational speedrun[0]. He was such a great positive dude and I really enjoyed his content.

He will be missed!

I would love to donate some to his family if anybody has a link to share.

Cool to see a new editor in the arena with a lot of resources behind it, but I'm trying to find the selling point besides "it's really quick".

Great feature but there's a lot more stuff I need for a truly outstanding editor, what are the novel pieces?

The bar is ridiculously for editors (vim & emacs configurability, vscode just works, jetbrains can do it all) - what will/does it bring to the table to compete?

I'm using Zed for a couple of months now. As a Vim bindings user, my personal fav Zed feature is that the Vim bindings really work.

Zed is made by people who used Vim themselves.

are piano lessons, private tutors, and sports clubs regularly affordable in Europe? those hardly sound like government provided services

Here in Spain, I pay €35/month for weekly piano lessons for my daughter. She loves it and we are really happy with her teacher as well. All from the public music school.

Its interesting the contrast between HN and X [0] as far as the sentiment goes on this change. On HN seems mainly in favor of this change while on X everyone is mainly against it.

Personally, I'm glad I haven't built something on PS Hobby that I have to migrate but I do think its fair to charge for your product.

With news like these, I always take the lesson: Nothing free lasts forever. If you are not paying for the product, the product doesn't last for you. You will have to migrate or pay eventually. They don't owe you anything if you don't pay.
