Does anyone want to suggest some reasons why, the one thing that D+R always, always, always agree on is this:

US Gov/LEO/IC must be gifted the most power possible

to surveil Americans who are not suspected of a crime

Elon has previously stated that he doesn't believe in advertising, "Tesla doesn't advertise". I assume that's the reason why it's newsworthy.

He said a while ago that he was open to trying it in response to some shareholders who kept asking him to advertise.

I wonder if we will get to a point where the web is so saturated with this junk that the web itself starts to lose its luster.

If AI can dream up a million impressive wood carvings, it seems like the real carving I saw in person is the only one that is actually interesting.

This applies to discussion too.

For instance, how many Reddit comments are bots? With the extreme groupthink present there, it wouldn't be a huge shock if it already makes up over half of the comments in popular subs.

And 100% of my YouTube ads are scams the last few weeks, many with deepfake fuckery going on.

This whole side of the Web needs to be put down. The algo-feed ad-clearinghouse side. It’s a cesspit.

Twitter/X has a productive approach with Community Notes. Scam ads get noted.
